Metrolist data shows increase of single-family homes in July

July resales increased 5.74% over June of this year, and increased 2.8% year over year in a new report released this week.  In addition, over one third of the resales that sold in July were on the market for less than a month.

Sales numbers and prices up in June

Condo and Home sales were up in June from May numbers.  Last week Denver Business Journal pointed out that while pricing is less than that of a year ago, so is the average square footage of homes sold.  Perhaps that is the reason for lower median home prices.

Home Value Decline is Slowing

The Standard & Poors⁄Case-Schiller home price index was released today. Although Denver saw some price decline, it was one of the lowest in the country (3rd) and our month-over-month (March to April) change was positive. There will be other "takes" on this report in the coming weeks as it pertains to the rest of the country, but for Denver, the news is positive!

Home Values Rise Faster in Lowry

A recent study, released by The Genesis Group, an Englewood based research firm, showed that both single-family homes and attached housing such as condos and townhomes at Lowry appreciated more than those in comparable Denver neighborhoods from 2000 through 2007.

While Lowry's East Park neighbhorhood is in full swing, a mid-rise loft community, Luce, is underway in the community's Town Center.  With existing amenities, including a grocery store, several restaurants, boutique shops and the outdoor recreation available within Lowry, this is a good opportunity to explore.
